Michelle Antao

Michelle practices primarily in the area of bankruptcy litigation. Prior to her litigation career, she clerked for the Connecticut Superior Court in the New Haven and Milford districts. She has experience with a range of diverse legal issues, including contested bankruptcy matters, violations of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA), indemnification, negligence, breach of contract, negligent and intentional misrepresentation, negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, probate appeals, and the Connecticut Parentage Act.

Michelle is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA), the New Haven County Bar Association (NHCBA), the Connecticut Italian American Bar Association (CIABA), and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from SUNY New Paltz and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude with a tax concentration, from Quinnipiac School of Law. While in law school, Michelle interned with the Quinnipiac School of Law Tax Clinic, where she represented clients facing a variety of tax issues.  Michelle also interned at the Quinnipiac School of Law Social Justice Clinic and worked on numerous legal issues regarding immigration law, family law, and helping survivors of human trafficking.

In her free time, Michelle likes to go on scenic hikes, crochet cozy blankets, and read.  She also enjoys traveling and exploring new areas.
