Job: Transactional Associate

Job Overview

Green & Sklarz LLC, a well-established New Haven based law firm, is seeking an experienced transactional attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience in contract review and negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, secured finance transactions, commercial real estate, business formations, business succession planning and general corporate practice. This role requires strong academic credentials, a robust work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts. The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in Connecticut.

Location:

• New Haven, Connecticut

Duties:

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including complex agreements and transactions.
• Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, secured finance transactions, commercial real estate transactions (purchase, sale and leasing), business succession matters, business formations, corporate governance, and general corporate and commercial legal matters.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and clients to deliver effective legal strategies and solutions.
• Conduct legal research and provide insights on transactional matters.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of transactional experience, particularly in contract review and negotiations.
• Strong background in mergers and acquisitions, secured finance transactions, commercial real estate, business formations, and corporate law.
• LLM in tax not required, but experience with tax issues related to practice areas preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in Connecticut.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
