Lisa E. Perkins
Practice profile
Lisa Perkins spent more than seventeen years at the United States Department of Justice prosecuting tax crimes before moving to the defense side. That experience — inside DOJ Tax, across grand juries, indictments, and sentencings — is what she brings to individuals and businesses facing criminal tax and financial crimes investigations today.
Her civil practice covers IRS representation and complex federal litigation, including FOIA and civil rights matters, and she has a strong track record of below-guidelines sentencing outcomes in the criminal tax cases that go the distance. She is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Associate Director of the UConn Law School Tax Clinic.
