
Susan S. Lamar
Susan joined Green & Sklarz, LLC in October 2017 as Controller. In addition to her administrative duties, she provides services in matters requiring her expertise in tax law and finance, representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, and other state taxing authorities. Susan also performs financial analysis in support of bankruptcy proceedings, litigation, and trust and estate administration.
Susan began her career as a staff accountant at public accounting firms in Connecticut, and then established Susan S. Lamar, CPA, a sole proprietorship, on a part-time basis in 1987, until her retirement in 2012. She is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Susan has extensive experience in regulatory audits, tax preparation (including income, sales, payroll and excise), and financial statement preparation and analysis.
In the private sector, Susan has been employed since 1987 in Connecticut at several small and medium sized businesses as a senior financial corporate officer.
Susan graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Business and Economics and is certified by the State of Connecticut as a Certified Public Accountant.
Susan volunteers for many local non-profits, and currently serves as Treasurer for the Edgewood After School Program, the Ulysses S. Grant Foundation and the New Haven Free Public Library. In her free time, Susan volunteers at Yale New Haven Hospital, currently helping Crush COVID Crew.
